This time of the year is typical filled with so many award shows.
The celebs come out looking glam and adorning their fabulous gowns! OH I am so envious that they still have opportunities to wear gowns, while the average person really has only prom and their wedding day!
Below are highlights of my favorite gowns and some outfits from the Grammy’s
I love Janelle Monae because she created her own signature look and manages to stick to it while still being innovative!
Kelly is sticking to one of Spring season’s trends: the geometric cut-ups, slice -dice cut looks ..as seen below( see the Alexander Wang dissected look that I saw from Spring 2013 runway in white)
However, her dress is by Georges Chakra. Below are more looks from Chakra:
Here is the dress on a runway model, who wore it best? hmm….
Same design from Georges Chakra in color:

Here is Alexander Wang’s version in white.
Oh how I love this trend but you gotta be in top shape to be having slices of your meat showing like that!
Beyonce also brought it. For me, this is different from her usually glitter-filled looks. She likes to sparkle, no doubt, but this shows versatility within her taste.
Also, like Kelly she is sticking to Spring’s upcoming trend of black and white; 1960s Op Art fashion trend that was all over this Spring’s runway.
Rihannah looks splendid! She is gorgeous! I love the choice of hairstyle as well. Glad she added extensions and covered her shaved hair side for this look because it’s so classy!
I am stunned by Fashion Critic Booth Moore’s choice to dub this look as worst dressed! Am I the only one? I really like the color. I think Rihannah’s bff wore it great.I am glad Kate Perry decided to NOT have a crazy hair color, ( you know how she likes her hot pinks and blues) it would have ruined the look!
I love Estella as an artist and I love her for this print gown! I love print a lot!! It’s hard to do a whole gown in print right! I think she nailed it with yet another Spring trend: peaka boo –which I highlighted on Spring run-way trends. See more here
Only thing is I would have wanted is a pop of color with such heavy print ; a bright lips would do it! I ,also, don’t like the hair style choice for the gown. I think a high bun would have been more fitting.
Here is a peekaboo midriff ( Spring style) from S/Spring 2013
Speaking of print, the Queen of print Solange Knowles did not rock a print attire, however she didn’t disappoint either! She had a beautiful frock, she’s ever destroying the carpet and I mean that is a good way! Check her out…
If you were given an opportunity to rock a gown from the ones above, which would you wear?
