“A man practices the art of adventure when he breaks the chain of routine and renews his life through reading new books, traveling to new places, making new friends, taking up new hobbies and adopting new viewpoints.”

Renewing, renovation, changing, experiencing  is so important in order to enjoy life and to have a deeper understanding of self and purpose. For me, I experience these vital growth moments when I push myself to pickup  new activities /hobbies; when I travel to new places; or when I  read a book or do the very things that am most scared of – nothing like the feeling of conquering!

Enjoy pictures of my most recent adventure with friends to Catalina Island.

The adventure begins…

I am not a beer drinker like that, I drunk it to tease the boyfriend. He wasn't on the trip. It was a girl's trip, It was still delicious ;-)

I am not a beer drinker like that, I drunk it to tease the boyfriend. He wasn’t on the trip. It was a girl’s trip – it was still delicious never the less 😉  He’s the one who introduced me to beer, it’s my first beer without him! Typically I just sip off his.Catalina IslandCatalina IslandCatalina IslandCatalina IslandCatalina Island

As soon as we hit the island, we grabbed lunch! I had the salad in the middle.

The island folks are so lovely and they barely drive cars in the island, most of the residents own/drive golf carts! Look at how it’s parked down this street!

Dude, we had a front balcony! I really liked the place. I meant to take indoor pic, I forgot :-/

Bikin time:  the most nerve-racking point of the trip for me.  We all have our bodily insecurities,  I am going to be vulnerable with y’all for a second. While, stereo-typically, most women seem to want larger breast and/or rear-ends. I don’t have that desire WHAT-SO-EVER – I happen to have both already. I am most insecure about my breast of any body parts. I feel there’s no reason for one to have breasts that huge if they are not a mother. To me, my boobs make me look like I have children –  not even a child, CHILDREN!!!

I was never excited about having breast like most young girls awaiting puberty, as far as I can remember I pretty much ALWAYS had them. I started my womanly cycle at age eight and half – months before turning nine. Anyhow, I started the hunt for a suitable bikini early on for this trip but I never found anything that made me feel comfy enough, yet I needed one if I was going to take part in water activities.

I figured I’ll suck it up and what not but it didn’t help looking at pictures after and seeing how humongous, and gigantic my breasts were compared to the other ladies! Sucks!! ( You’ll see). I remember, once, reading a  blog of a big girl and she said she was feeling alone among her much smaller friends and she called one of her big friends to join them ( aww…)  Honestly I need to get a big-chested-big-booty-thicker-than-a-sneaker buddy too , heheh.. (auditions are official open if you were wondering, lol j/k) Friendships are comprised of much more deeper things than that but am having my moment, k!

When dressing, it’s a constant struggle to try and conceal my chest so as not to constantly ooze sexuality, and/or erotic-ness. For my blog, working with my guy as my photographer and being the editor of all the pictures allows me manipulation of the pictures, so that’s a plus!

I hate feeling like a piece of seductive meat when am just trying to go about my day – but that’s the body I have ; a body of a super womanly woman by the definition of having full breasts, hips, ass and thickness.  You say, well there’s breast reduction? I say well I have been highly considering it so we are on the same page (lol), We’ll see … my mom says if am not having back issues or pain – Which am not- it’s not inhibiting me, so she’s not okay with it. To do it for appearance or for fashion’s sake she finds not compelling enought of a reason and the African in her says I need to wait and console with my future husband ( lol). I agree and then I disagree when am dressing. #lifeofasuperendowedwoman

I tried this top but quickly realized it was a lot of cleavage and with water that piece of cloth will pop off!

This black sheer maxi was a last minute find that I was pleased about for a throw on. I had no plans of taking it off only if we went inside water but I got hot from biking around and slided it into a maxi skirt of sort.

All the ladies on the trip, both girls at the end are my two BFFs that I mention once in a while on the blog.

This picture is the greatest! She looks incredible and the background is perfect!

Catalina IslandAmerican Boxer Victor Ortiz came up to our group, we didn’t recognize it was him for the longest until he said it was him practically, lol!! He was super-duper drunk and cursed like a sailor, we were like who’s this person?!  He was extremely hilarious while drunk though! Overall, friendly and nice!

Kayaking was fun! It was my second time doing it. I  still was a bit nervous but we went in pairs, encouraged each other and conquered it! After this one hour kayak in the middle of the ocean, we all felt like experts! Catalina IslandCatalina Island

The last supper! I had the rice, Thai peanut sauce and chicken on stick. I showed that pic to my guy when we got back and he jokingly asked if that was a rat?! lol Well this is all after he and I had alligator at the fair, I guess not too far fetched?. See here

Catalina Island IMG-20130527-WA0024We went for an evening hike, it was relaxing  and fun and a bit painful after…lol Catalina Island Catalina IslandWe came down from our hike to find a talented band serenading the island with fabulous music! Only problem is no one was dancing!! We could not allow such great music to go to waste!! WE STARTED A BLOCK PARTY!! It felt like world peace and love day or something. Everyone was dancing  – well most people and some were watching us. We didn’t care, we had a blast!!! The crowd grew, the children felt free, the musicians were motivated!

Catalina, thank you for the wonderful time!

At first, I wasn’t all that pumped about a vacay-trip. I am big on you celebrate and enjoy when and if you have a reason. I haven’t been doing much to feel I was deserving of a get away,  nothing strenuous, challenging or celebratory really …  but being that it was primarily to celebrate a friend’s birthday I had to get over that mentality for a second.

We biked , ate delicious meals, kayaked, clubbed, hiked, started a block party and laughed a lot!! It was a pleasant trip!
